Rich Beyond Their Wildest Dreams

WHEN I READ AND HEAR ABOUT THIS KIND OF SUDDEN LUCK AND WEALTH, I shudder to think what the long-term ramifications might be.   Most of these 'lucky' people go on a maniac high of binge buying and undisciplined spending that often ends at the bottom of a bottle, in bankruptcy court or worse. Success and luck are often much harder to negotiatiate and endure than failure, especially over the long-haul. Without discipline and self-control with generous doses of generousity, this could become the unluckest event of a winner's life.

I must say however, that Cindy and Mark Hill, the couple who just won 1/2 the Powerball Jackpot, seem like decent, solid people living in middle America outside Kansas City. They say their lives were blessed long before this happened. That's a great recommendation, but even with that, there will be big challenges ahead. I hope they will proceed prayerfully and not get overly-euphoric or impulsive.  There is certainly a lot they can do for the betterment of their families and community.
