Fishing on a Small Trout Stream

There's almost nothing more fun for me than to be with a 10-year-old boy on a small stream and watch him catch one of his first fish on a fly. This is a great moment in his life and two generations of men were there applauding him on. Great fish, C3!

Going down to the fish, rather than dangling it out of the water, is one of the basic forms of etiquette I encourage. Never taking the fish out of the water, no matter what size, is the best for the fish and the valuable resource....except for an occasional photo op, like above.

Looks like a good teacher-pupil combination and a great experience for a young fellow in a beautiful setting.

Looks like fun and I love his crocs! It is very hard for me to leave a comment as my internet here is so slow it almost always times out.

hg, I'd say he comes by it natually....and jm, I can sympathize with your slow internet as I've been contending with same for weeks, now. Hope you're getting settled.

How I wish you could give my Shaney a lesson or two! He absolutlety loved the mountains and the outdoors; the freedom he felt while we vacationed there!
