30 years ago, most of us were still celebrating the fall of the Soviet Union. Some were morning it, but they were wise enough to keep silent, except perhaps in the faculty lounges and newsrooms. Today, we see our country being torn apart by what is effectively a 5th column let by those same people who miss the USSR. Prayers that God will clean up the mess we have made, and that if the ultimate tragedy happens, enough people will remember Jefferson's admonition about refreshing the Tree of Liberty.
