A Few Words About the Chauvin Conviction

UPDATE:  DEVINE---WANTING JUSTICE FOR ALL OR RACIAL REVENGE?

Watching George Floyd suffocate and die under the knee of Chauvin was horrifying and sickening to the world. Sure he was a druggy and had been in and out of jail.  But the excessive and cruel use of force used on him as he cried for help and air broke the world's heart.

The triple conviction will go a long way towards healing some of the heavy-handed police tactics even as our drug-fueled crime and murder rates spiral out of control.

It was also appalling that other police officers with Chauvin did not step in and stop Floyd's murder.  They should be held accountable.

This won't be the end of it and there are always unintended consequences, but here and now, justice has been served and I for one am greatly relieved and supportive of the verdict.
