WAS PACKING THE CAR LATE YESTERDAY WHEN THE HORRIFIC NEWS BROKE OF THE UNSPEAKABLE TRAGEDY IN NICE. I chose not to take my computer though I knew the friends I was visiting would turn on the tube for updates on the news.
Still, it was a relatively peaceful and beautiful evening on the banks of the Teton, catching up over a glass of wine, eating a wonderful dinner al fresco, then getting a great night sleep to the sound of gently moving water outside. The craziness of the world seemed far away for a few hours.
I forget how beautiful eastern Idaho is on the other side of the Tetons and away from the utter chaos of Jackson in July.
