PICS OF A GROUP OF ELK currently camped out in her front yard in Jackson, Wyoming. Thanks, J, makes me want to jump on the next plane. Such a fine looking bull with his females.

Last Stanzas of America the Beautiful
O beautiful for pilgrim feet, Whose stern, impassioned stress A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife, Who more than self their country loved And mercy more than life! America! America! May God thy gold refine, Till all success be nobleness, And every gain divine!

How wonderful. Somewhere I have photographs of elks in snow just outside of Jackson. I'll have to dig around for it.
They're magnificent creatures and in their truest element in and around Jackson. Would love to see some of your shots sometimes.
