Joan was a tough broad who could dish it out and laugh at herself as poignantly as she could Sarah Palin. While I could never get on board with all her surgeries and botox, she was a dame who never hesitated to be politically incorrect and let the chips fall where they may.
The public discourse will forever be duller now that she's gone. She will be missed. I know her family, especially Melissa, will miss her mother terribly. May God bless and comfort her family.
