Countries With The Largest Oil Reserves

WITH OIL PRICES THROUGH THE ROOF and gas at the pump possibly heading north of $4 this summer, it might behoove us to review which countries have the largest oil reserves. Remember, the United States is dependent on Middle East oil and in these turbulent times of global unrest, it could mean at least temporary shortages that could bring on much higher prices, long lines at the pumps.

It's hard to avoid seeing a lot of oil is controlled by some bad government regimes. On the other hand #2 Canada is where we import most of our oil from now. That may only increase as the United States may be forced to wean itself from its dependence on Middle East supplies. It may get painful and very expensive before it gets better.
