Does The Academy Have the Guts....

....TO GIVE BEST PICTURE AWARD to the only true story of redemption that's nominated for Best Picture this year? Frankly I doubt it. But it would signal a sea-change in Hollywood. Meanwhile, this is a movie worth seeing, perhaps several times. Sandra Bullock gives a stellar performance. Call me old-fashioned, I like movies that have meaning and imbibe inspiration and the transformative power of Christ working in real people's every day lives and relationships. Roger Simon of the Academy weighed in earlier this week.
