Hagel's Extremely, Really Awful, Most Certainly Very Bad Day On Capitol Hill
WHAT CAN BE SAID, except Senator Hagel flunked his job interview today and will probably not get hired as President Obama's new Secretary of Defense? What ever was he thinking when he prepared to attend his Senate grilling?
Questions with few answers, except that he may very well not get the job and many of his detractors are not disappointed. To say Hagel stumbled is an understatement.
His preparation and performance were cringe-worthy, and he should not be confirmed. Very sad.

A disgusted Lefty friend said he made Dan Quayle look like Winston Churchill. A bit unfair to Quayle, but basically on the mark. Of course, since he is not a Conservative, this may not be a bar to his nomination.
I certainly hope it will be a bar but anything is possible, especially where incompetance is now so often rewarded.
