MY CHILDREN, SANDY HOOK WAS TERRIBLE, HORRIFIC but beyond that, we want to keep each and every one of you alive as long as we can, so we can strap trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars of our spending---and my spending---on your little backs and shoulders and make you slaves of the state when you grow up!
It's you little buggers who are going to pay for MY spending---and we have no intention of stopping anytime soon!
So yes, we'll try to keep you safe from deranged people who want to use high-tech weapons, but not from the deranged power of the federal tax man when you're a little older.
