Leon Panetta's Amazing Coup After Obama's Endless Foot Dragging: Or What Really Happened Before Bin Laden Was Captured and Killed?

PREPARE TO BE ASTOUNDED---IF IT'S TRUE: PANETTA, GIBBS CLINTON AND DALEY VERSES OBAMA AND JARRETT

WE'VE ALL SEEN THE ABOVE PHOTO OF SUNDAY NIGHT AT THE WHITE HOUSE PLASTERED EVERYWHERE BY NOW. We've watched and read how it came about over the past many months.President Obama briefed the nation on the death of Bin Laden. Since the dramatic events in Pakistan two days ago, new details of the operation are emerging by the hour.

So are you ready for new details you surely haven't heard in the MSM the NYT, even on Drudge---yet?

Thanks to a comment here today by Greg Cotham with a fascinating link, I'm posting a new version of the story which I believe may be a credible account of what really happened behind the scenes to make this operation in Pakistan come about and wildly successful.

Fasten your seat belt folks and read on, read what The Washington Insider has to say.

Here's Greg's comment which begins somewhat tongue-in-cheek:

"White House Insider" has already begun the novel. And it is delicious gossip about Obama hesitating/refusing to give the order, followed by Panetta/Hillary/Gates/Daley joining forces to cover each other and give the order (to go after Bin Laden). Panetta, especially, pushed the operation and ran it from CIA. When the operation was too far along to be aborted, Obama was pulled off the golf course and brought back to the situation room (and briefed on what was going on with the Navy SEALS in Pakistan). Your photo clearly shows Obama in golf clothing and golf jacket.

Greg included this link from SocyBerty. It's long and I'm not familiar with the source, but I dug in. The more I read, the more credible it seemed. It's one great story, if it's true.

It's late and I'm fading. Will be back in the morning with more. Meanwhile, do read the link.

The story does have the ring of credibility to it. However, lets assume it is untrue: what would that mean?

1. Republican dirty trick.
or
2. Hillary Clinton planted story, indicating she hopes it gains traction, indicating she might run for President if this story gains traction and damages Obama. Remember, Panetta emerges as the hero of this story. Panetta is a Clinton crony. So, Hillary and a Clinton crony emerge from this story as American heroes who saved the nation from a dithering President.
or
3. It could mean the story is planted as a sort of blackmail warning by a political entity which wants to gain power inside a power struggle with Obama.

It has been rumored, via the same source the "White House Insider", that powerful monied interests in the Democrat Party have been dismayed by Obama's ineptness. The powerful monied interests know where Obama's Chicago skeletons are buried, and can either negatively or positively affect Obama's fundraising. Armed with this power, the powerful money forced Obama's acceptance of Daley as his new Chief of Staff, and the powerful money (which knows where Chicago skeletons are buried) more or less informed Obama that they (powerful Dem monied interests) would be calling some of the shots from now on, and Obama would go along with them, or else. Daley is considered a true professional who will spiff up a sloppy Executive Office operation, and who will represent the powerful monied interests.

Now, if the powerful monied interests story is true, then these interests could have dropped a false "Obama hesitated on Bin Laden" story as a type of warning to Obama of the pain which they are capable of inflicting on him.

Or, a completely different political competitor could have dropped the false story, also as a type of blackmail and warning shot.

All the above said, if I had to bet my $5, I would bet the story is correct. There is detail in that story. And Obama is sitting in that photo in golf clothing (and I do not think he would have been on the golf course if he was involved with an operation which was prepping to breach Bin Laden's compound at 2:30 Eastern time). And Panetta is prepping to testify to Congress re how the operation unfolded.

Well, we'll know its credibity soon enough through the powers of the Internet. But as an erstwhile newspaper woman, I say again, it's a sensational story and very likely credible.

Again, time and many online reporters will find out. Meanwhile, thank you for your brilliant comments.

Well, with that man, who can tell?

And, now, we have a story which Obama intentionally leaked out of the White House: Obama spent 16 hours considering the operation, then walked into a meeting and immediately put his fist on the table and said "Do it."

I like to study people. Some collect stamps, some birdwatch, I study people. I know men. I am a man. I have fought with and talked with and commiserated with and competed with and worked beside men all my life. I've been in locker rooms all my life. I've drunk beer with men all my life. Which is to say: I know men. Which is to say:

There is no way Barack Obama walked into any room and placed his fist on a table and said "Do it". Did not happen. Total fantasy. That image, completely and totally, is not who Barack Obama is. He does not have that in him.

A person who pounds his fist and says "Do it" .. is a person who is acting from conviction which Barack Obama does not possess. A person who pounds his fist and says "Do it" .. is a person who is saying: "I am willing to accept any consequences for this action." It is a "Damn the torpedoes" moment. It is a declaration that you are willing to risk your presidency, your political viability, your historic legacy. "Damn the torpedoes! Do it!" The task is so important that you are willing to risk your entire career and your legacy. "Damn the torpedoes! Do it!" When you pound a table and say "Do it", you are saying "I am willing to risk everything."

Barack Obama doesn't have that within him. He is not willing to risk any of it: not his presidency; not his political viability; not his historic legacy.

Obama has spent his life being so risk averse as to be an intentional "blank slate". Obama, as a legislator, was a "Captain Present" who avoided casting votes. Obama ran for President on the vagueness of hope and change. Obama abdicated leadership to Reid and Pelosi; now abdicates world leadership in myriad areas.

Obama does not have "Do it" in him. I can believe that Obama looked at the available options and gave the order to take Bin Laden. I do not believe that Obama walked in and pounded a table and said "Do it." The Hollywood type of scene is a blatant lie.

Therefore, I now assess that "The D.C. Insider"s account of Obama's dithering is more likely to be true. Obama's intentional White House leak about "Do it" is likely to be a response to "The D.C. Insider"s leaked account. This thing is now Spy vs Spy. Or Lie vs Lie. Anyway, its not gotten less fun to watch.

From the Louisiana movie where Julia Roberts' young mother character dies tragically, Olympia Dukakis character comments on fun gossip:
"If you don't have anything good to say, come and say it beside me."

Look where he's sitting. It looks as if they pulled up a chair for him after he arrived to the party late.
