WE HAD A GREAT TIME FISHING THE SALT RIVER THURSDAY in between wind, rain and high, off-color, fast water. No matter, we caught some small fish, had lots of laughs and thanked God that we could be outside and on that beautiful river, come rain or shine. Today, I was scouting the Snake back in Jackson Hole.
I am a dry fly fisherwoman. And it's not yet great dry fly fishing in these parts. So we put a nymph dropper on the dry fly to increase our chances of getting a strike. I am not crazy about this technique, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
