HOME RUN! Sarah Rocks!
I apologize. Thank you for making me look foolish. I'm now on board for the long haul.
You knocked the ball out of the park in debating Biden tonight. You put the MSM talking heads in their place. You humbled me with all my doubts. Still don't know whether you and McCain can pull off a win November 4, but I do know, you're more than qualified to be VEEP. You have principles, experience and the ability to learn what you need to know when you need to know it.
I'm more impressed than ever before. You have my enthusiastic vote. I was at a dinner tonight where we all agreed: you sucked the oxygen out of Biden's air space and tugged at his hair plugs. You were clearly in control of the evening. It was your night. More tomorrow, after a good night's sleep.
Nice apology (to Sarah). That is true class.
ReplyDeleteAfter watching the debate (and recording it for comparison with what the MSM will later me what I REALLY saw and heard), I feel better than I have in weeks.
Me too. No matter what happens now, I have no more doubts that Sarah Palin was a wise choice. I stand corrected and am very happy to be wrong.
ReplyDeleteYay for Web! I thought she did a swell job too! You know, the MSM tried to demoralize us all for the past couple of weeks. I guess they thought if they really made her look like a bafoon, not many would tune in to check her out. Your line about the hair plugs had me ROFLOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI made it a priority to rush on over here to get your take on it, (you know me)
Why did she keep ignoring the questions and misnaming our commander in Afghanistan? Why did she say we’re now at pre-surge troop levels in Iraq when there were 130,000 troops in Iraq before the surge and today, there are 147,000?
ReplyDeleteWhy do Palin and McCain keeps referring to hmadinejad as the “leader of Iran” when, as Biden noted, the Ayatollah Khameini is the leader of Iran who sets policy?
You don't have problems with these errors? I guess you must be "Joe 6-pack"? You betcha, doggone it.
Two instant polls agree: Biden won debate
-- CBS used uncommitted voters, who gave Biden the edge in early numbers, 46-21 percent, over Palin.
-- CNN's instant poll of regular voters showed Biden victorious, 51-36.
Shocking news...CNN gives Biden 'the edge'!!!!!
ReplyDeleteimagine!
Yes, indeed, a shocka, Rita! Imagine that.
ReplyDeleteJoe Biden’s outright lies during the debate:
ReplyDelete1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.
2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.
3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”
4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.
5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.
6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.
7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people’s health insurance coverage — they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false
8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska — she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it’s not a windfall profits tax.
9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.
10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation — he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.
11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.
12. TAX INCREASES: Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.
13. BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20.”
14. REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama, Americans won’t pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan
Interesting article by FOX NEWS political analyst Bob Beckel:

"Have we reached the point of mediocrity in this country that Sarah Palin's debate performance was actually acceptable to her supporters (fortunately, Independents in early polls do not share that view) because she didn't fall on her face, as many conservatives feared? That's your standard? No wonder there are still some of you who still think George Bush, the very definition of mediocrity, is a good president.
In a word, Palin's debate performance was awful. She couldn't win a high school student council election with those homespun platitudes, repetitive inane comments about the war, and most strikingly her refusal to answer not a few but EVERY question put to her that demanded a direct answer.
I don't know how Sarah could have done any better. I am so happy and proud that she's our nominee.
ReplyDeleteOH, I am so sorry William followed me over here... William, go back where you came from! Or come to my blog if you must, but leave nice people alone!
ReplyDeleteRita, William has been with me for a long time---it seems like years. He's unhinged to say the least but I'm sure he plays a mean guitar....
