The Truth About Taxation in This Country

In 2005, a study by the Tax Foundation figured that 43.8 million federal tax returns, representing 91 million Americans would have NO federal income tax liability in 2006. Adding another 15 million families and individuals with too little income to file a return, the organization calculated 121 million people---almost exactly 41% of the population--- were outside the income tax system.

That leaves 59% of the rest of us who pay ALL the federal income taxes in the United States.

The Democratic candidates would have us believe the 'rich' ----meaning those who pay taxes, create jobs and capital necessary for wages that keep the economy going--- need to shoulder even more of their share of the tax burdern. To do this Mr. Obama with his ever loquacious wife and Mrs. Clinton stir up class envy and hatred to perpetuate their myths that the rich are getting richer and the poor are gettting poorer.

Ah, did you pay all the Federal Corporate taxes, or were these added to products and services and paid by every one through their purchaces? How about Federal gasoline, cigarette, alcohol, trucker and like taxes?

Federal, State and local goverments get taxes from more than just reported income.

  3. This explains why DNC will get at the verry worst 40% of the vote. BTW, this statistic does not include all the government's handouts, from "welfare" to "child credits" to people who don't pay taxes.
Somebody said that if you tax Peter to help Paul, you can always rely on Paul's support. How true. The more people in America are allowed to escape the income tax and pay no personal responsiblity for the government spending - the more the system will become unfair to working Americans who pay taxes. It's essentially an unstable system. Too bad for us. I want to see how it's gonna end.
