The Bayeux Tapestry Animated

Stunning animation--with crisp sound effects---from the Bayeux Tapestry depicting The Norman Conquest of Saxon England by William the Conqueror who became King of England and reigned from 1066 to 1087. William brought the civilizing influence of French Continental culture to medieval England. (But it still didn't do much for their cuisine.) Note the appearance of Hailey's Comet in the beginning of the film. which appeared in the skies over England in 1066. This comet was considered an omen---a good omen for William the Conquerer, but a bad one for England's King Harold II who was later killed in the Battle of Hastings.

Have a great day!
