Dawn of a New Day

EARLY MORNING UNDER THE DAM OF THE SOHO which is habitat for the smartest fish in the world. It takes patience, perseverance, and focus to catch these fish at this time of year after all the pressure they've been under. You also have to use the smallest of flies (16-22) with the tiniest of tippet (6x-7x) in the slickest tail water fishery in America. A major challenge all aroun and always humbling. .Fortunately, some of my favorite former  fishing guides and colleagues in Jackson Hole fixed me up with a pair of boots that help wading here on the SOHO be much safer... felt soles with steel studs. DUCKS ON THE WATER....
