New Year's Eve Night---The Shortest Hitters

AFTER A NICE EARLY DINNER, ONE GLASS OF RED WINE with a great friend and dinner partner, we proceeded to go straight to football watching. What's a girl to do but chill after weeks of non-stop activity and be a scintillating-not! New Year's Eve companion?  Snickers the Cat took full advantage and colluded to have the camera brought out without permission as she climbed aboard for her long winter's nap and photo-op. Some of us are simply not wired to be night people---especially in the dead of winter when the sleeping is worldclass---but call us at 5 am, we're totally wired and ready for whatever the day, the year brings.

Wishing you the best of health, sanity and happiness in 2013 and beyond.

BTW:  My favorite, amazing books of 2012:  Law Man by Shon Hopwood, Anywhere I Wind Up by R.A. Dickey,  Secrets Thoughts of An Unlikely Convert by Rosaria Butterfield,  Wheat Belly by William Davis, M D, Primal Blueprint by Mark Sissoms.

  1. Hope it's not too late to wish you a blessed New Year! I still check your blog often and enjoy your posts.

Your Christmas card was so sweet, and I hope yours was joyful. I loved reading about your Christmas at Kiawah - we spent many summer vacations there when our kids were young. Now we get together at nearby Seabrook - the Carolina coast is special to us.

My best to you and yours!

  2. It's never too early or late to connect with good wishes for friends and family, is it, Fraydna! Your message is greatly appreciated on all fronts. Hope your Christmas with family and New Year is blessed too.

We had the best Christmas ever and I give thanks to God for all tge many blessings---too numerous to mention!

I shudder to think what this year will bring for our country, but will forge ahead prayerfully one day at a time.

    All best, Jane
