Celebrity Politician Sarah Palin's Alaska

UPDATE 1: SARAH SHATTERS TLC RATINGS BEING HERSELF, WHILE SNARKY TV CRITIC KATHLEEN PARKER (WHO?) SINKS HERS

UPDATE 2: SELF-RIGHTEOUS TINA FEY JUST CAN'T HELP HERSELF WHEN IT COMES TO DISSING SARAH; PBS HAS TO AIRBRUSH HER REMARKS AT MARK TWAIN DINNER. Prediction: What made Tina's recent career will now break it.

DON'T RETREAT, RELOAD

QUESTIONS AND INNUENDOS SWIRLED EVERYWHERE THIS MORNING: Is this her next step to the White House? Is it really politically motivated? Were they fishing too close to the grizzlies? And on. Of course I loved it all, cause Sarah is my kinda get-your-hands-dirty-then-wash-'em woman. Best of all, she's got a light touch and terrific sense of humor. Can't imagine (just kidding) how feminists are reacting to this-here blippin' reality show. But I'd bet a dime-to-a-doughnut they're not happy with how charming and fresh they all come across. Scenery and wildlife are spectacular! What fun! That's enough. Who cares where it leads?

  1. Todd caught a salmon in nothing flat, then went up the rocks in nothing flat. The next show should be Todd Palin's Outdoors Show. And there would be drama, b/c Todd was a bit careless when crossing a crevasse, and was a bit of a risk taker near the bears. Todd's DNA didn't want him to back away. A man doesn't get ruffled and conduct a knee jerk retreat. Rather, a man shrewdly assesses: only retreating if it truly becomes necessary. It wasn't in Todd to do differently. He had to shrewdly and deliberately assess ... just as fish gotta swim and birds gotta fly. Its who he is.

  2. terrific sense of humor

I think this, more than anything else, is what sets off her critics so much; most of them having the sense of humor of a pet rock.

It is something totally alien to them, something they suspect they can never have (they're probably right about that).

Bitter jealousy over something they can't even comprehend.

  3. I agree Greg that Todd totally rocks in the most basic manly way.

And Paul, her critics hate her as much as Bush's hate him...Funny even after dissing from the left, both of them have their SOHs in tact.

I think that is what makes them so resilient.

I've said before (ad infinitum :-) that a sense f humor is what keeps you balanced and sane; it keeps you from taking yourself too seriously.

Those who lack one are emotionally crippled, to be pitied, and probably never should be allowed to be in charge of us.

A lack of a sense of humor, combined with malignant narcissism results in things like the current occupier of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the TSA officials currently making the news, and Nancy Pelosi (about whom Dennis Miller probably said it all. :-)

  5. Yes, Paul, and most of all the lack of a light touch is a bore, the most unforgivable sin of all. Thank you for your observations.
