OVER THIRTY OF US DIE-HARD HIKERS MET this cold, crisp and sunny January morning at Edgar Evins State Park near Center Hill Lake for this annual hike. It was so cold that some bailed out. Still there was a good turnout and it's hard to imagine a nicer, more convivial group of people. After doing an easy four-miles over hill and vale, we convened in a shelter for a pot-luck luncheon and visit. Of course, we all ate another helping of black-eyed peas for good measure.
