Farewell Eddy Arnold
One of the greatest country music legends of all time and shrewdest of businessman bid the world farewell here early this morning. We will all miss this fine singer and gentleman who helped put country music and Nashville on the map long before country was cool.
Back in about 1972 I met Eddie Arnold in Wichita, Ks and it was my birthday so I was lucky to get to meet this wonderful gentleman and got his autograph on his book and he was so kind to pose for a picture with me; not many big stars doing that kind of thing now days. I would like to extend my sympathy to his family. Sincerely, Cleo Thomas
I just heard of this on the news. An era has ended.

ReplyDeleteLovely memory, Nonnie....
ReplyDeleteNot to be too nitpicky, but out of respect to his memory, his name is spelled Eddy Arnold. He was one of the greats!
ReplyDeletethank you for the correction....it's never too nitpicky to spell someone's name correctly.
