Sunday: Proverbs 16:6-7
BY STEADFAST LOVE AND FAITHFULNESS INIQUITY IS ATONED FOR, and by the fear of the Lord one turns away from evil.
When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

This is a wonderful proverb of hope.
I've had a busy week mostly away from my computer.
In addition during one of the numerous thunderstorms that rolled through Middle Tennessee this week with lots of thunder and lightning, a power surge went through my computer and wiped it completely out. So, tomorrow I begin the process of replacing it and getting it back online. Thank goodness for my phone!
Praying you have a blessed Sunday and peaceful Memorial Day.

NYT Letter To the Editor With Which I Totally Agree
BOZELL: ROGER AILES SAVED AMERICA FROM A LIBERAL 'NEWS' MEDIA MONOPOLY
GOOD FRIENDS SENT ME THIS TODAY AND I HAVE TO WONDER WHEN ARE WE AS A COUNTRY GOING TO START DRAWING SOME HARD LINES? What's next, abolishing history? Literature? Where does this nonsense end?
TO THE EDITOR Re. Editorial, Tuesday, May 9, “Monuments to White Supremacy.”
In the Middle East Isis destroys priceless monuments built by those who did not share their ideology. In New Orleans ideologues remove aesthetically superb monuments depicting historical figures who, in their day, differed with current political orthodoxy. Similar intolerance informs both movements to put out of sight anything that challenges these people’s beliefs. So it is also on college campuses where speakers not in favor with some students are denied a platform or shouted down.
We live in a time of intolerance and suppression of opposing viewpoints. But I was surprised and alarmed that The New York Times editorial page would support this movement to silence opposing views by removal of monuments depicting Confederate figures.
The Civil War happened. It shaped our history. It was fought by two sides, both fighting honorably for their regional points of view. Is one side now to be demonized while the other is exalted? What next?
After New Orleans do we strip Monument Avenue in Richmond of some of the finest statuary in the country because it depicts Confederate leaders? And do we then pull down all statues of Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Jackson, slave owners all?
The ludicrous spectacle of a great nation dropping a large portion of its history down what Orwell in “1984” called the "memory hole” is deeply disturbing. It is a failure of the spirit of democracy when, instead of public debate of issues, one side is forcefully suppressed.
It is a tendency the Times should not be supporting.

What Toby Keith Won't (Or Will He?) Be Singing To Men Only In Riyadh When He Performs With Trump
THIS SHOULD BE DAMN FUN. What a hoot....Keith epitomizes Red Neck American at it's best...Trump loves this kinda of thing. It takes a lotta nerve for Trump to take Keith deep into Sunni country. But it's the perfect antedote to a week of whining and crying big crocodile tears from the left. Liberals are fast becoming the biggest bores and tantrum babies in the history of the world. Bring it on, Toby.

Psalm 110
PSALM 110
A Psalm Of David. ( The most Messianic and prophetic of all psalms. It's a psalm about Jesus. Commentary)
1 The Lord says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
2 The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
3 Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.
4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
7 He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.

Senator Rand Paul Says There's No Evidence Whatsoever of Trump-Russia Collusion---It's All Wishful Thinking and Sour Grapes From the Left
SENATE HEARING SUMMARY: EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW ABOUT RUSSIA/COMEY JUST GOT DESTROYED
FROM CNS NEWS
DURING AN INTERVIEW ON FOX NEWS about the firing of FBI Director James Comey, Senator Ran Paul (R-Ky.) said there is "no evidence" the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians, no accusation of any crime involved, and that the story is "built upon a huge myth."
“It’s sour grapes over the election," said Paul on Fox & Friends on Wednesday. "The whole Russia thing I think has been propagated by people who are upset they lost the election. ... I don’t think there’s been any facts presented that anybody broke the law."
Senator Paul added it is hypocitical for Democrats to criticize Comey's removal when Democratic leaders wanted him fired many months ago.
During the interview, co-host Brian Kilmeade said, “It didn’t take long before everyone was saying he [James Comey] got fired because he was getting too close to proving Russian collusion. What have you heard, even among Democrats – I saw Maxine Waters yesterday say she has no evidence of that [collusion]. What about that leap
Senator Paul replied, “Not only is there no evidence that the Trump administration or campaign was connected to Russia or committed any crime -- no evidence at all of committing a crime – there’s not even an accusation that I know of, of what crime would potentially be committed."
“So all this breathless talk about people, there’s a lot of hypocrisy going on," he said. "Many of these Democrats, including Chuck Schumer, said they lost confidence in Comey a long time ago. Hillary Clinton’s been blaming Comey."
Democrats to criticize Comey's removal when Democratic leaders wanted him fired many months ago.
"They should be thanking President Trump for getting rid of Comey because he politicized something that may well have had something to do with Hillary Clinton’s [election] loss," said Senator Paul.
"So, I think it’s a lot of crocodile tears and a lot of people saying, you know, they were for getting rid of Comey too but now they’re going to say it’s all about this Russia investigation, which hasn’t produced one iota of evidence that anybody did anything wrong or broke the law," said the senator.
Co-host Ainsley Earhardt then asked, “The senators and congressmen that we have been interviewing this morning all say the same thing, there’s no there there. Why, when you talk to Democrats, do they still believe that there’s collusion?”

election. They’ve sunk their teeth into something where they think
they’ll eventually find something."
"But everything is built upon a huge myth, as far as I’m concerned," said Paul.
"I don’t think there’s been any facts presented that anybody broke the law," he said. "And yet this goes on and on, the clamor now for a special prosecutor and all of this, a special investigation. No, I don’t think there’s any evidence that anybody broke the law.”

Sarah Huckabee Sanders---Another Star Is Born
GOP SEN GRASSLEY TO DEMS: SUCK IT UP AFTER COMEY FIRING
THE REAL TEST: MARKETS SHRUG OFF COMEY FIRING
THE AMAZING DEMOCRAT U-TURN ON THE FIRING OF JAMES COMEY
AFTER WATCHING SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS, DEPUTY WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY, LAST NIGHT BRIEFLY ON FOX, then again as she presided at the WH briefing today with a mostly angry and irrational WH press on former FBI Chief Comey's firing yesterday, I have nothing but rave reviews for her. At 34, she's well-informed, smart, poised, succinct and seems able to handle a press pool of reporters who would love to pull her into a morass of slime and irrationality from which she could never get out of. It's shark infested waters... No such luck. She kept law and order in the room and was able to flow from question to question effortlessly without getting bogged down or losing her cool.
Good for her. Sarah comes by some of her instincts naturally as the daughter of former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, She's married to a man she met during her fathers failed 2012 presidential campaign---Bryan Sanders. They have three children.
I predict, she's a rising star in Trump's administration and beyond. I look forward to seeing more of her in the days to come.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein Made the Decision Comey Had To Go
POWERLINE WEIGHS IN
KEITH KOFFLER ON COMEY'S FIRING
IT'S CLEAR THAT THE NEW DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL, ROD ROSENSTEIN, MADE THE DECISION TO FIRE FBI DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY. Trump accepted his recommendation. Evidently, Rosenstein is extremely well-thought of by his colleagues on both the right and left. He is a new Trump appointee:
Trump nominated Rosenstein — who is described as a nonpartisan straight shooter who has worked for both Democratic and Republican presidents — for the position in January, before his would-be boss was embroiled in any Russian-related controversy.
MORE
Before arriving at the Justice Department, Rosenstein, 52, was the U.S. attorney for the District of Maryland. He has worked for the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Department of Justice for 26 years, according to the Department of Justice website. He was unanimously confirmed as U.S. attorney in 2005 after being appointed by President George W. Bush, and was then retained by President Barack Obama.
Rosenstein is the only U.S. attorney appointed by a previous administration to last all eight years of the Obama administration, according to the New York Times.
A graduate from Harvard Law School — where he edited the Harvard Law Review — Rosenstein started his career with the Department of Justice in 1990. He then served as counsel to Deputy Attorney General Philip B. Heymann in President Bill Clinton's first term....
There will be howling on all sides. It's alleged that this is an example of Trump's fascism and a coup is underway.... This will be blown to smithereens by the Dems. Nonetheless, it's clear that Comey had become too much the issue in the various investigations he oversaw.
Trump is indeed draining the swamp.

Jesus Reveals His Deity To the Woman At the Well
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STORIES OF THE BOOK OF JOHN. Jesus so often shows himself to the poor, marginalized and rejected of this world. In other words, he shows himself to the most obvious sinners, though most people hide their sinful natures behind all manner of facades. This is only one of many examples in the New Testament.
What Jesus is telling this woman at the well, among other things is that a person can now worship God anywhere, anytime in Spirit without going to the Temple in Jerusalem or a synagogue. Here's another version from John 4: 1-42:

Vetting the Met Gala--the Yeses
FOR WHATEVER REASON LAST NIGHT, I HAD VERY SLOW CONNECTIVITY, and couldn't finish writing the text for these outfits. Here are the ones I like best: most of them classic and elegant ball gowns worn with great hair and the perfect amount of jewelry---never too much. In the case of the couples, several like Gisele and Tom and Blake and Ryan looked good and well-coordinated, almost too well-coordinated---I did not like Ryan's cutsie blue tux tie that matched his wife's peacock train. However suited Jennifer and A-Rod seem to be, I did not like her tent-like cape at all. I also did not like Megyn's dress or hair. The young Jenner group and friends looked like hot messes and total exhibitionists. And I won't even mention Katy P's pathetic attempt to be.... what? unique? attention-getting?
BTW, Laura Dern, below, is a great looking middle aged woman; however, the squashed, high bosom look is out....but she hasn't yet received the memo.
Below are some of the looks I give an A to B+ to:
