Vanderbilt University Plans Sex Workshop---How to Be Brilliant In Bed---After Massive Convictions In Vanderbilt Rape Case

SUNDAY UPDATE

IN OTHER RELATED, DESPERATE NONSENSE---DEFENSE ATTORNEYS TO ASK FOR RE-TRIAL

UPDATE:  THE FEMINIST MYTH MESSAGE----JUST GO OUT AND DO IT-- KEEPS GRINDING ON AT VANDERBILT WITH NEW WORKSHOP, HOW TO BE BRILLIANT IN BED
Posters advertising the event show a woman wielding a large ruler and promise "a crash course in sexy sex ed" that is "great for everyone from sexual novices to full-blown sexperts."
But Molly Corn, a Vanderbilt senior and peer sex educator who is helping to plan the event, said the racy poster is meant to draw students into a discussion on hooking up, consent and alcohol. Corn hopes talking about sex will make her peers "comfortable with making their own decisions as they see fit."
Corn, who also is a member of the student newspaper staff and an on-campus feminist group, said the students had no idea the event would fall a week after the guilty verdicts in a high-profile rape case against two former Commodore football players.

Truly disgusting.....

RELATED RAPE ON STANFORD CAMPUS
VANDERBERG AND BATEY GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES

THIS HAS BEEN A HARROWING TRIAL FOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THIS HIGH-PROFILE RAPE CASE AS WELL AS THE CITY OF NASHVILLE.

 But justice has been served.

This from the NYPost:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A jury convicted two ex-Vanderbilt football players on Tuesday of raping a former student, rejecting claims that they were too drunk to know what they were doing and that a college culture of binge drinking and promiscuous sex should be blamed for the attack.

The jury deliberated for three hours before announcing that Brandon Vandenburg and Cory Batey were guilty. Batey was stoic, staring ahead and Vandenburg shook his head “no,” appearing stunned as the verdict was read. His father had an outburst and abruptly left the courtroom.

The victim, who was a 21-year-old neuroscience and economics major at the time of the 2013 attack, cried as each guilty verdict was announced.

Both men were convicted of four counts of aggravated rape, one count of attempted aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. They face decades in prison when they are sentenced March 6.

The jury heard two weeks of dramatic testimony from a parade of witnesses, including police, former and current Vanderbilt students and the woman, who said she didn’t remember what happened that night, only that she woke up in a strange dorm room. They also saw cellphone images from the night of the attack that Vandenburg sent to his friends as it was happening.

Despite the photos and video, and witnesses seeing the woman unconscious and at least partially naked in the dorm, no one reported it.

The trial played out amid a national conversation about rape on college campuses. In Nashville, where the prestigious private university is located, hundreds of officials from colleges across the state are meeting this week for a two-day summit on how to reduce sexual assaults.

Sunday---Because You Have Prayed To Me

 DOWNTON ABBEY---WHAT WE'RE REALLY WATCHING

LON SOLOMON AT MCLEAN BIBLE CHURCH TEACHES ON PRAYING FROM OUR HEARTS,  POURING OUT OUR SOULS TO THE LORD.

He cites stories from the Bible of the supernatural power of prayer and how God answers it. Lon calls it the most important sermon he's ever preached. It's a message we've all heard, but have yet to fully apply in our lives.

Holy character is formed by consistent prayer. The Apostle Paul calls every church he formed to prayer. God is opposed to the proud and self-sufficient, and prayer humbles us.

Below are some powerful prayers from the Psalms:

Confession of Sin

Psalm 51:1-12

Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned  and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge.

Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.

Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

'My Soul Thirsts...'

Psalm 42:1, 5

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Prayer of Protection

Psalm 91

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.  For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation. ”

Vanderbilt University Has Completely Lost Its Way To Sexual-Cultural-Amoral Campus Correctness In the Extreme

WHAT THE LATE KING ABDULLAH REALLY THOUGHT OF OBAMA
CHRISTIAN ADAMS ON CHEAT AND DEFLATEGATE

VANDERBILT IS---OR CAN I SAY WAS---MY ALMA MATER. I hang my head in shame to see what it's become in the past few decades.

The once-great school has completely lost its Southern conservative identity as it scrambles to keep up with the latest political-cultural-sexual-feminist fads du jour.  As a good friend reminded me last night,  Vanderbilt is ashamed of its Southern roots as it pretentiously prides itself  now on being an international university sought out by students everywhere.

At the same time Vanderbilt has kicked all vestiges of old time morality and Christian influences off-campus. Morality and God are passe at this culturally correct school, you understand. And no one wants to offend the feminists or Muslims.

Meanwhile,  Vanderbilt has lost its soul.

I've know this for years and long ago asked to be removed from all fund-raising lists. But the ongoing Vanderbilt Rape Trial brings the campus lifestyle at a school that costs a fortune to attend  into even greater, disgusting focus.

Below is a rather pathetic quote from a defense witness for the football players who gang raped a senior coed in June of 2013,  filmed and texted it to friends all over the campus and country.

Brandon Vandenburg and Cory Batey, along with two other former players, have been charged with raping a coed in a dorm room in June 2013. All have pleaded not guilty.

EXPERT: FORMER VANDY PLAYER HORRIFIED BY HIS ACTIONS:  (I should hope so.)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A defense witness in the trial of former Vanderbilt football players charged with raping a fellow student said one of them was so drunk that he would have struggled to form the intent to commit such a crime....
Neuropsychologist James Walker testified Friday that Cory Batey was so drunk that he would have struggled to form the intent to commit such a crime. Dr. Walker said Batey told him he had 14 to 22 alcoholic drinks before the players allegedly raped the unconscious co-ed.
Batey's defense said his judgment was changed by a campus culture of binge drinking and promiscuous sex.
Walker testified that Batey told him he was "horrified" by his actions.

I have to say I am encouraged to learn that Batey, a black student who attended the prestigious Ensworth School---started, funded and endowed by the Frists---is horrified by his behavior.  It means that somewhere far inside there might still be found a small moral compass however deeply buried.

I pray that some good will come out of this depraved mess and that more people will think twice about sending their children and cut off their donations to this out-of-control party school that has so totally lost its way and its identity.

A Few Words About The Vanderbilt Rape Trial That Has All of Nashville Transfixed

WELCOME TO THE NEW REALITY OF BINGE DRINKING,  'NO-CONSEQUENCE' SEX AND COED DORMS AT COLLEGES THAT HAVE TOSSED GOD AND MORALITY OFF-CAMPUS AND COST A FORTUNE TO ATTEND

THE VANDERBILT RAPE TRIAL IS THE COURTROOM DRAMA OF THE DECADE, IF NOT CENTURY, IN NASHVILLE RIGHT NOW. It's about to go into its third week and truly so depraved that I refuse to give it more than a passing mention. It's standing room only in the courtroom downtown and being broadcast live to every willing viewer in the entire Middle Tennessee area.

People around here---and now the world--- are lapping the whole sordid mess up like dogs and simply can't get enough of the salacious, pathetic details. No thanks.

What  I will say is that this is sordid and disgusting affair.  Four very, very drunk Vanderbilt football players, so out-of-their minds from booze and cocaine,  serially raped  a Vandy coed who herself was so slobbering drunk and blacked out from binge drinking that she never remembered a thing about the brutality and degradation of her body, her soul, her life---even to this day.

But the victim heard about it several days later from the man who was her lead rapist who had also  come back to have more  (supposedly consensual) sex with her again the next day.  She still had no clue she'd been gang raped...not even with all the bruises on her body.  Unbelievable.

Fortunately or unfortunately, these men-turned-animals conducted their gang rape in a dorm hallway under the watchful EYE of surveillance cameras that filmed it all. They also took photos of themselves raping and doing other horrific things to this unconscious pathetic girl then texted them to other students and football players. Turns out after several days, lots of people knew about this rape and no one said a thing and even helped to suppress it.

Bottom line is at least two of these guys will go to prison and maybe for a long time.  The woman's life is most likely ruined and Vanderbilt's reputation is forever tainted.

These are the consequences of the extreme feminist movement that  tells women that there are no moral boundaries. It further tells them the myth that women are just like men and can go toe-to-toe binge drinking with them, as well as 'enjoy' anytime, anywhere sex with anyone with impunity  and no consequences.

As bad and guilty as these football animals are (and they deserve to go to prison) doesn't the woman who gets so slobbering drunk she passes out have to bear some responsibility too?  Feminists say no.  I say of course we do.

What a sad, sad chapter.  The sexual revolution twisted and perverted beyond repair.

Brent Bozell Is Not Charlie

TRB: CANADA BILL JONES, A MAGNIFICENT BASTARD, DEFINES HEDGE FUND WORD AGNOSTICISM  HAVE TO AGREE HERE WITH BRENT BOZELL. The French magazine Charlie Hebdo certainly has the legal right under the First Amendment to parody Islam or any other religion it chooses, including Christianity which it has done in disgusting ways. The First Amendment guarantees some people will be offended by its drawings even as most defend the magazine's right to create and promulgate them. But is this extreme kind of spoofing really morally defensible? For most of us, it's really not.

Bozell makes some good points. Source

@ RedState: Larry Flynt Has More Moral Decency Than David Brooks

A TERRIFIC PIECE AT REDSTATE.COM on David Brooks' verses Larry Flynt's response to the Charlie Hebdo massacre starting with a rather arrogant, disdainful quote from David Brooks:
So there’s some people like, you know, frankly, this show, we’re at the adult table of conversation. (The other panelists were NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, National Review editor Rich Lowry, New York Times reporter Helene Cooper, and Islamic Monthly editor Arsalan Iftikhar; anti-Islamist writer and activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali was also scheduled but “decided to not appear,” according to Todd). Some people like Ann Coulter, they’re at the kiddie table. Charlie Hebdo, that’s the kiddie table. Let the kiddie table have the kiddie table ’cause sometimes they’ll say things that those of us at the adult table need to hear. Don’t crack down on them. – David Brooks
There are a lot of good reasons to not put your neck in the guillotine. I blog under a pseudonym and thanks to the dapper and talented Brett Kimberlin; I chose to continue to do so. People will say “Ok, fine Mr. Macho-Man. You just do that to save your skin.”
I’m guilty as charged. That skin may have had a few blemishes in my adolescence, but it does cover my body. If David Brooks were to just admit that he is too chicken-feke to publically support Charlie Hebdo in his own given name, I’d get it. He may want to be there in case he and his partner ever adopt kids. But please don’t call the behavior anything other than what it is. Don’t insult 12 guys who just bought the farm to justify gutlessness.
If I were to offer a critical evaluation of Charlie Hebdo; I’d say it’s fairly innocuous, low-brow secular humor. It never even gets close to treating The Prophet Muhammad the way Larry Flint Treated Jerry Falwell*. And in the final analysis, when the bullets fly,** Larry Flynt has more of a spine than David Brooks. Here’s what the King of Porn had to say regarding the French Terror Attack.
Just like Charlie Hebdo, HUSTLER has a long tradition of running parodies, satirical images, and political cartoons. Tragedies like the one in Paris further underscore the importance of free speech and freedom of expression – including satire – and the duty citizens have to fight ideas with ideas, rather than violence. Our thoughts today are with those at Charlie Hebdo. – Larry Flynt
If this is a sample of what Flynt is like when he pulls up his trousers and turns off the smutty DVDs, I’ll have to admit something I kind of hate to admit. Flynt is more qualified to serve as POTUS than a lot of our Washington DC elite. Not so hot on the social issues, mind you, but at least he’d show up for work with a pair of rocks. Hell, maybe we should have sent Larry Flynt to Paris yesterday. He’d enjoy it and he might be capable of more social grace and class than Huey “The Kingfish” Biden.
Which brings us back around to the contemptible David Brooks. I personally have a different taste to my humor than either Charlie Hebdo or Hustler***. However, to suggest that either publication sits at The Kiddie Table is ludicrous. You don’t get sued by leading Evangelical Ministers at The Kiddie Table. You don’t get served the .556 Cal. Death Fry Combo at the Kiddie Table. If David Brooks didn’t famously have perverse tastes; I’d propose spanking him and sending to his room without supper.
David Brooks is such a disdainful grown up, isn't he.

The Most Important Neglected Prayer

OREGON COACH: BE ALL IN FOR GOD FIRST,  THEN ALL IN FOR FOOTBALL SECOND

THIS WEEK, I STARTED A 6-WEEK BIBLE STUDY---PHRASE BY PRASE---ON THE DEEPER MEANINGS OF LORD'S PRAYER. I'm humbled and thrilled to be doing this and reading Dr. Elmer Towns' classic book Praying the Lord's Prayer for Spiritual Breakthrough. It simply doesn't get any better because Jesus taught his disciples to pray this prayer when they asked to be taught. We so often memorize and automatically recite the Lord's Prayer by rote never bothering to think much about it.  This is huge wasteful mistake.

As I poured over Dr. Towns' book this week, I also came on an article at the Gospel Coalition site on the subject of a specific phrase in the Lord's Prayer---Hallowed Be Thy Name. What does it mean for God's name to be hallowed?

Pastor Drew Hunter eloquently answers that question, and in doing so, helps to deepen our knowledge of Our Father in heaven. I thank him for helping me---along with Elmer Towns---in my prayer life by explaining this mighty phrase:

This first line of the Lord’s Prayer is one of the most familiar in the Bible. It is one of the most commonly prayed prayers in history. Yet among believers it is often underappreciated and misunderstood. After years of familiarity with this prayer I realized that I wasn’t quite sure what I was saying. I began to wonder if I was doing what Jesus had just warned about: heaping up “empty phrases” in prayer (v. 7). What are we actually praying here? What does Jesus hold so highly as to instruct us to make it our first prayer?

Clarifying Our Understanding

Clarity came in three steps. The first step is answering this question: Is this a statement of praise, or is it a request? For years I thought it was a statement of adoration and praise. I thought "hallowed be your name" was equivalent to “you are holy and worthy.” But notice: it's not, “hallowed is your name,” but “hallowed be your name.” This is a request. It’s asking God to do something. The Lord’s Prayer is a series of petitions, and this is the first one. Jesus is telling us to pray, “May your name be hallowed."

But what exactly are we asking God to do? Step two is considering what "hallowed" means. It is to honor something as holy (literally, to sanctify). It is to set something apart and acknowledge its uniqueness. When we hallow something, we honor it as uncommon, special, and superior.

Last step: What are we requesting be honored? God's name. Throughout the Scriptures, God’s "name" is another way of referring to himself. God’s name represents who he is.
Here, then, is what Jesus asks us to pray: “Our Father in heaven, please cause yourself to be honored." In other words, "Would you cause yourself to be regarded as holy? Would you let people see you for who you are so that they no longer disregard you? Would you bring about an ever-increasing esteem of your great name among the nations? Would you show your great character so that people everywhere might know you and overflow with thankful hearts for all that you are and do?”

Filling Out the Backstory

The dishonoring of God’s name was a central problem with Israel in the Old Testament. In response to their continual rebellion, God sent them into exile. But once Israel was outside the land and scattered among the nations, a new problem arose. Since Israel was identified with God, their disobedience drug his name through the dirt. Speaking through the prophet Ezekiel, God announced the fundamental problem: "They profaned my holy name" (Ezek. 36:20). But, he added, "I had concern for my holy name" (v. 21). He promised to act "not for your sake,” to be clear, “but for the sake of my holy name" (v. 22). “I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them” (v. 23).

What, specifically, would he do? He promised to bring the blessings of a new covenant. The great promise is that God will cause his name to be honored through his people, and that he will do it by forgiving sins, replacing hearts of stone with hearts of flesh, and giving his Spirit to cause them to—finally—walk in obedience (v. 25-28). In theological terms, this is a promise to bring about justification, regeneration, and sanctification through the work of Christ and the gift of the Spirit.

Through a new covenant, God would create a people who hallow his name in the world.
Jesus came to inaugurate these blessings. They have been poured out on his people as a result of his outpoured blood. As a result of his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus is creating a new people for the glory of God. Jesus came to create a people who hold God’s name with holy regard.

Joining the Prayer

With this first request of the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus invites us to make this our preeminent prayer. What, then, does it look like to integrate this prayer into our lives? Here are three ways.

First, we should pray out of deep awareness that God’s name is honored far too little. To pray for God’s name to be honored is to acknowledge that it isn’t. This will only become our prayer when we settle it deep within that not only should God’s name be honored, but that it often isn’t. We will only pray this when, after surveying the needs around us, we are provoked within at how little God is valued. We always ask for that which we most desire. That this should be our first request implies that it should be our first priority. If this is our great concern, it will become our constant request.

Second, we should pray with God’s glory as our highest aim. The honor and esteem of God’s name is to be the great and ultimate goal of all our praying. To pray for God’s name to be honored is to pray like the apostle Paul, who regularly oriented his requests toward the glory of God (Rom 16:27; Eph. 3:20-21; Phil. 1:11; 2 Thes. 1:11-12). The aim of our prayers is not ultimately to be our immediate material and physical comfort but, rather, that God would be held in ever-increasing esteem by an ever-increasing multitude.

Third, we should offer requests shaped by this great aim. If the deeper and broader honoring of God’s name is our great desire, then we should pray for things that would result in this end. The backstory of God’s promises in Ezekiel help us greatly at this point; promises of forgiven sins, transformed hearts, and empowered obedience. As more and more people experience these blessings, they will increasingly honor God with their hearts and actions. This request, then, gives an alternative to many of our superficial and self-centered prayers. In their place, we are to pray for these kinds of gospel blessings to spread more deeply and broadly in the world.

This first request of the Lord’s Prayer directs our desires, shapes our tone, and realigns our requests. And it shapes not only our personal prayers, but also prayers in our families, small groups, meetings, and other church gatherings. For the honor of God’s name, then, let us pray for the honor of his name.

Vigilante Hacktivist Group Anonymous Declares War and Vows To Avenge Charlie Hebdo Massacre By Shutting Down Jihadist Websites

LET'S LAUGH AT ISLAM IN FRENCH, BUT YOU GET THE DRIFT.
Anonymous declares war against jihadists. Freedom of speech has suffered an inhuman assault. Terrorists broke into the premises of the “Charlie Hebdo” newspaper and shot in cold blood several satirical cartoon artists, journalists and two policemen. The killers are still at large. Disgusted and also shocked, we can not fall to our knees. It is our responsibility to react. First, we wish to express our condolences to the families of the victims of this cowardly and despicable act. We are all affected by the death of Cabu, Charb, Tignous and Wolinski, great artists that marked their talent throughout the history of the press and died for freedom. We do not forget the other victims killed and injured in the attack that were the targets of these murderers. It is clear that some people do not want, in a free world, this inviolable and sacred right to express in any way one’s opinions. Anonymous will never leave this right violated by obscurantism and mysticism. We will fight always and everywhere the enemies of freedom of speech. Charlie Hebdo, historical figure of satirical journalism has now been targeted. Anonymous must remind every citizen that the freedom of the press is a fundamental principle of democratic countries. Freedom of opinion, speech and to publish articles without any threat, and stress is a right “inalienable.” Anonymous has always fought the slayers of these rights and will never allow a person to be shot down radically for publishing an article, a drawing, an opinion … Freedom of speech and opinion is a non-negotiable thing, to tackle it is to attack democracy. Expect a massive frontal reaction from us because the struggle for the defense of those freedoms is the foundation of our movement. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us!

Prayers And Rallies For Charlie Hebdo Victims of Horrific Terror Attack in Paris And For Weak and Willing France Finally Coming to Its Senses

SOME OF THE MURDERED    Charlie Hebdo editor said 'I'd prefer to die standing than live on my knees.'

FOR THIS,  I DEFER TO STUART SCHNEIDERMAN TODAY.  I would only add the obvious that these militant Muslims are anti-life, anti-women and  anti-freedom.  They represent the darkest of evil, mental enslavement and depravity who are armed and always dangerous.  When will France and other countries overrun with these AK-47 toting vermin take a tough and courageous stand for its values and freedoms and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! and mean it?

Stuart quotes Carolyn Glick from her Facebook page:
Say a prayer for the victims of the terrorist attack on the French magazine Charlie Hebdo.
Then, read Caroline Glick's commentary, posted on Facebook this morning:
11 people so far are dead in the wake of the Islamic slaughter at Charlie Hebdo satirical newspaper. Their offense to the tender sensitivities of the religion of peace? The paper published an edition with drawings of Muhammed and made fun the totalitarian creed of Sharia.

I'd like to believe that this will bring the French to their senses. But all evidence to the contrary. The French have done nothing in the wake of every other Islamic outrage. They did nothing when the Muslims torched thousands and thousands of cars in 2005. They did nothing following Mohamed Merah's massacre of French soldiers and Jewish children. They did nothing after Ilan Halimi was tortured and murdered by Islamic monsters. They did nothing after the pogroms of the summer. They did nothing after a Jewish woman was gang raped in her home. They did nothing after jihadists ran over people in their car Jerusalem jihad style.

The socialists won the presidential elections because of the Muslim vote. They can't win without it.
Maybe this will push them over the edge. Maybe they will finally stand up and fight for their country.

We can pray for these people, their families and for their fearful and weak leaders---and ours---who have let this tragedy happen....again. We can pray that this tragedy for once and for all will push France over the edge... to reality and sanity.  How many wake up calls does this country need?

When people lose their ability to be outraged and disgusted and replace these by wishful thinking, the end can't be far away.  Perhaps it's because of too much red wine?

Brad Paisley Pens A Beautiful Tribute To the Late, Great Little Jimmy Dickens, A Giant of A Man

MICHAEL LEWIS: WHAT TOO MUCH WEALTH CAN DO TO YOUR SOUL

SOME OF THESE OPRY OLD-TIMERS ARE AND WERE THE BEST OF THE BEST.  THIS GODLY HERO WILL BE SORELY MISSED

Brad Paisley posted this message to Twitter honoring Grand Ole Opry star and Country Music Hall of Famer Little Jimmy Dickens. Dickens passed away Friday at the age of 94.

As the sun sets on this planet tonight, for the first time in 94 years it is without my hero, Little Jimmy Dickens.

Why was he my hero? Jimmy made more out of his time in earth than anyone I've ever known; an incredible life in every measurable way. Longevity? Yes, practically unheard of. Faith? Totally and wholeheartedly. Humor? There was no one funnier, or with a better sense of it. A true entertainer? The best I've ever seen. Charm? Unmatched. Love? This was a big one. I think he loved everyone he ever met, and if not, he never let it be known. More importantly, I think everyone who ever met him loved him instantly...and forever. Romance? He and Mona had the most romantic story I've ever heard. Check it out sometime.

Friendship? Well I can honestly say he was the best friend any human being could ask for. Bar none.

Much will be said and written about his incredible and unique place in Country Music history. Which could fill a book. But that isn't how I'll remember him. I will remember the human being that best check-marked all the boxes of a complete and wonderful life. My hero.

Do not mourn Little Jim. Celebrate him. Relive and share the memories. Aspire to be like him. And above all, laugh at the punchlines, the craziness, and the way he so gracefully made this planet a funnier, better, richer place while he was alive. And in doing so, will continue to for years to come.
